When selecting Hi-Fi equipment,
think about what you listen to and where you listen to it.
This will help determine the sources and speakers that you need,
next select a suitable amplifier that will connect all your current
and future sources, and drive your speakers correctly.
There are many great magazines and websites available for
guidance on equipment selection - with the reviews often providing
good advice on a particular product.
Your local Hi-Fi or Home Technology store is an excellent source
of information about a particular range of products. For the
best advice choose a store that has access to a wide range of
products so you can be sure that they are designing the right
solution for you - not just selling you what is in stock that
day.
A great example of this kind of store is Automation Associates
www.aa.net.nz.
Don't forget to buy good interconnects. Fantastic
components are nothing without decent interconnecting leads.
A bad interconnect is like fuelling a Ferrari on 89 Octane Fuel -
It'll run, but your not getting the performance you paid for. Your
supplier can advise on the right leads for your equipment.
